I had an interesting experience last week. I went to a friend’s cooking class where he taught us how to make RAW foods. He made an organic living almond hummus drizzled with fresh olive oil, olives (I’m not normally an olive person but this was good), and fresh chopped parsley. I was tired when I went to the class. When I tasted the hummus I couldn’t believe how delicious it was. Not only that, my mood improved and I felt really good. It was like Mother Nature’s crack but good for you! By the time I went home, it took me awhile to wind down before I could go to sleep because I had so much energy. I didn’t realize it was because of all the active nutrients inside the food.
The instructor and another person in the cooking class recommended I try a restaurant in Salt Lake City called “Omar’s Rawtopia” which is the only RAW food bar in UT. Everything is completely organic & washed with purified water. I couldn’t believe how tasty it was and filling! Even if you’re a meat lover or a vegan, trying to incorporate more RAW foods can make a difference in your mental and physical health, weight loss, and well-being. I saw this book which applies to many people’s lifestyles called, “Raw Foods For Busy People” by Jordan Maerin.
Check it out! Your body will love you!
