EMDR and EFT Tapping are great tools to reduce anxiety, past trauma, depression, phobias, & addictions.
What is EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and how does it work? (Energy Psychology)
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) has been around for years but Dr. Oz posted about EFT on his website in March 2013. Check out this video clip! I use this technique in my practice and clients have been amazed with their results! Results do vary with each individual case. Call me at 801-505-1332 to see if EFT is appropriate for your situation.

EFT Tapping Testimonial with Heather Severn Callister, LMFT
"I had suffered from terrible acid reflux for 20 years. Although it's varied through the years, I've usually had to take 1 or sometimes 2 pills a day; sometimes prescriptions, sometimes over the counter medicines. I spent years trying to find what the causes were for my condition, but never could quite pinpoint it. I'd find certain foods or habits that would aggravate it more, but nothing I tried would totally eliminate this terribly uncomfortable condition. It was frustrating because I had usually been able to alleviate most of my health problems through natural means, but I always had to take this pill for my acid. I tried eliminating certain foods, I tried the bed tilt idea, I tried everything I could think of. I often thought about the long term affects of having so much acid in my esophagus all the time; what damage it could do to me over the long run.
I was introduced to EFT by my therapist, Heather Severn. We were discussing the possibility of it helping with some of the emotional issues I was having as I was reeling from a broken marriage and going through the process of separation and divorce. I was specifically struggling with intense feeling of guilt. Immediately after doing the tapping for the first time I didn't notice too much of a difference, but by the end of the day, I was feeling something good, though I couldn't quite decipher it.
After a week or so, (and after a few more tapping sessions) I definitely noticed a major change in how I was feeling. The harsh emotions I was dealing with seemed lighter and more fluid like they, although real and impactful, were able to just slide on by. It was about this time that I realized that I hadn't taken a pill for my acid reflux since the first day of doing EFT. This surprised me a bit, but as I stopped to think deeply about myself, my emotions, and my body, I started to see the connection. This physical condition seemed to be directly related to my emotions. I have always believed that our emotions can affect health, but never could determine the connections with my acid reflux. This was such an important moment for me. It has been about 3 months now, and I have not had a single instance of acid reflux. I feel so much better. I am so thankful for the freedom that EFT has given me. I look forward to using it in other areas of my life." -Male age 37
